In order to assess the effectiveness of reconstructed energy dissipation facilities (EDFs) in open channels at hydropower stations, hydraulic prototype observation (HPO) tests are conducted investigate characteristics discharge flow and dynamic response structures during sluice opening periods. While model (HMTs) commonly utilized laboratory settings study these characteristics, experimental conditions cannot fully replicate real-world operations such structures. HPO employed examine patterns, free water surface fluctuations, pulsating pressure changes under varying flood (FDCs). Flow patterns recorded via video; fluctuations measured using total-station laser rangefinder instruments; is monitored with sensors data collection systems. pattern observations concentrate on addressing adverse phenomena, as turbulence, surging, backflow.
